Features

・Magnetic proximity sensors are sensors thatare activated/deactivated in response to the changes in the intensity of magnetic field.
・Incorporating Hall IC , polarity is detected and S pole detection is standard.
・It is fast response (less than 5 μsec), so it can be used for speedometer and rotational speed meters.
・Compared to ordinary proximity sensors, it has high sensitivity, large detection distance and small size.
・Both the original alignment to the servo motor and overrun detection can be conducted with the double sensor.
・It is a highly reliable product because it is less susceptible to radio interference noise interference.

Mechanism

Magnetic proximity sensors are sensors that are activated / deactivated in response to changes in the intensity of magnetic field. The magnetic intensity at any given point in space can be described with direction and magnitude of magnetism. A magnetic proximity sensor with Hall Effect IC picks up only the vertical components against the sensing face, while a conventional sensor or an old-established lead switch basically detects magnetic strength irrespective of the approaching direction. This allows a Hall IC magnetic proximity sensor to assume high precision operational characteristics, which conventional sensors have not attained.

The way to use double sensor

Model  "AH002-D"

A magnetic proximity sensors, small in size and free from magnetic interference between sensors, can be closely disposed against one another. Taking this advantage, a double sensor is designed to have two operating points in one unit. Therefore, e.g. both servo's home position and overrun can be detected only with one double sensor installed. A double sensor contributes to a downsizing of machinery as well as a reduction in assembly cost.

*Conversion and current amplification are available with optional cables.

・The circuit diagram must be observed to ensure a correct connection. A reverse connection and a short-circuiting output are strictly prohibited.
・When connecting an inductive load such as relay, be sure to use a freewheeling diode. (Some models already include a built-in freewheeling diode.)

・When installing a switch, use the torque value designated for each switch.

・When handling / using the product, do not apply an excessive tension to the cable connection part.

It is recommendable to bond the screw in order to prevent loosening.

Cable operation cannot be selected with the double sensor.
